The Prime Minister of State that of Singapore The Ministry of Communications and Information will deliver a welcome speech at the opening ceremony on December 7, 2022.

The 23rd ATF’s edition is set to make a strong comeback with more than 4,000 business professionals from leading platforms, studios and agencies across 60 countries and regions, to celebrate best-in-class Asian storytelling, network and explore content partnerships across genres and platforms. A series of networking events, including GHY Culture & Media Night and Japan Networking Lunch, will aim to facilitate online discussions over the past 2 years.

The conference theme – “Content Is Still King” – reinforces how quality content continues to transcend time and borders in a dynamic environment of industry consolidation, rising prices, search for talent and changing business models.

The success of regional and global streamers around the world increasingly relies on the power of K content. The opening day of the ATF Conference shines the Spotlight on Korea – where the views of the following senior executives from top Korean platforms and studios are offered, as they continue to smash screens with their bold visions in the face of global competitors and winning production strategies:

It will showcase insights backed by research and data, envisioning how this change will affect business models and content consumption by 2023.

ATF will also call on financiers – Dr Thomas KingstonDirector of Coherent Media Group, Phil McKenzieCOO of Goldfinch (and recently CCO of MContent as well), and Eric Collins, CEO and founding member of Impact X Capital Partners, who will talk about new funding models and the questions of money behind content production. In a closed-door session, they will also participate in an in-depth discussion that will examine content investing as an alternative asset class.

Aimed at producers, the first series of Formats and Documentary Labs will feature experts who will share on intellectual property protection (Formats Lab) and offer relevant guidance on what it takes to produce content that can be universally wanted, thereby increasing its funding. attractiveness and commercial value (Documentation laboratory). This is also the first time that the Format Recognition and Protection Association (FRAPA) has introduced its Formats Lab for Asian producers under the new ATF Lab Series banner.

A total of 383 submissions were received for ATF’s 6 pitches, of which current pitches received a 41% increase in submissions. Additionally, the new Indonesian Pitch in partnership with Vidio and the Thai Pitch with Warner Bros. Discovery garnered submissions that exceeded expectations. Selection of final projects is underway and shortlisted finalists will be announced soon to meet with decision makers at ATF 2022.
